A few questions have been asked and I’d like to respond. They are:

1.      a. Why did you pick freewebs over, say, using THIS blog as your platform?  

I chose freewebs because I wanted to add quite of bit of information about how2blog and decided that I needed a bigger space such as a webpage.

Alas I am almost completely finished with my project. I have completed my webpage, brochure and my blog after the next post to rap it all up. I haven’t posted much in the last week or so because I have been deciding how to end with my brochure and post. I can’t believe my time is up and I hope you have enjoyed my project. Onwards to the very last post for this project entitled My Reflection.

As I have noted I am almost finished with my website. Today I added the information on FeedReaders, downloads and who to add your blog links to your reader. Now I have to complete a quick tip brochure to keep as a handy tool. I really had no trouble adding stuff as I have been working on it already. I tried to print my screens and use as pictures but that didn’t work on the webpage so I went back to cut and paste. Onward…………I go…….

The website is almost finished! I will be fixing a few things here and there but give it a once over and let me know what you think. I do still need to finish my brochure through word which I will be adding on the website as well. It will be a quick tip brochure to print out and keep. I hope you have enjoyed watching my website grow!

Yesterday and today I have been working on the next set of notes for my project. I typed them up and will add them on here. I tried to yesterday but my Internet service provider went down for a few hours….My To Do List:

Day One

Even though this blog is an example a title is always a nice little touch to your blog. I said Day One even though technically I already started with my hello. But this is more of an official personal touch blog that says more than hello but helps you see what you can type in your blogs. I hope that this has been helping you so far. As you can see when you go to write there are many different things you can link too. Your dashboard, write, manage, comments, etc. More importantly you can spell check your blog. (Smiles) Once you feel comfortable writing your blogs you can even begin to check out other blogs and “collect” them so to speak in a Reader. I will tell you about readers, give you the one I use as I have had no issues with it, how to link them in and how it keeps checking for new posts when you open it so that you can see what your fellow bloggers are up too. You’ve come a long way so keep up the good work.

What to work on next for How2Blog-Blog and Webpage

Webpage….

Add an addition about using login and password to start blogging…tell them to click on new post and the click on write if using WordPress.com

Then they can type in a title and a blog post…tell them see example on ExampleBlog…

Next work on pages: What is a Feed Reader? With Pics if possible

Google Search with the words Free FeedReader and then what it might look like…then an example of FeedReader, how to download, and what it looks like…

Next, how to use it by adding on links of blogs you’d like to keep…just cut and paste your own and use it as a copy…

Last work on a Quick Tip Brochure and then add it to the webpage and blog site….

As for blogging…

I have been working on my notes today 11-30…I have been editing my site adding backgrounds changing titles…editing and creating can be never ending when you are looking for perfection. I might never reach the perfect webpage or blog but I will keep editing until the last moment. I tried to post tonight with my new info in which I am adding an example blog on my exampleblog page to help. I just hope all these blogs don’t become to distracting and confusing! I am also setting up my next phase which is to add in what you can find on you blog if you’re using WordPress.com. By now you can see I have become very partial to my blogging page and feedreader and while there are many out there I simply don’t have enough room or time to tell you about them all. Therefore, I chose the ones I was comfortable with because I think you too could be comfortable with them. Next, I will tell you what a “reader” is and how to find one, download it, and add all the blogs you might want to keep up with it. It’s a handy little gadget that allows you to see them all in one place and updates them by the click of a button or once every time you open it. I will show you what mine looks like at a glance and then will hopefully link you to a Quick Tip Brochure to Print out using Microsoft Word. This will have the steps in writing for those who don’t really need visuals or for those who have looked at the pages and just want a quick “cheat sheet” so to speak. I hope you are enjoying my project and I hope that I can share it with others to help them as well. 

OK Update! I have updated my blog and my website. I created the pages the way I discussed but would love some feedback! I haven’t created my next page links like I want too. There are links but you can use the site to make links so I will be going back and fixing that soon. I used cut/paste of the webpages for visual view. I did note that I do realize they are copyrighted and that I am using them for educational purposes only but if anyone knows if I am required to do something else please let me know. I will be checking into it as well. So give her a look and tell me what you think!

While I will admit at first there is no day 2-6 as I was working on my notes to blog and enjoying the Thanksgiving holiday I found it best to start where I left off and this would be seven days later.

So I pondered how to write my notes…How can I explain to you my thought process in creating my blog and website. I decided their must be a first step on how to blog and that would be to find a blog that appeals to you. For example: I chose www.google.com. After deciding I wanted to use this search engine I’d like to post a picture of its page for my audience to see.

Next, I’d suggest searching for a site by typing in Free Blogs or How to Blog for Free also using example pages that show you a list of what is found.

Once you have chosen a site you should see where to create a login and password. Be sure to choose a name and password. If you want to remain somewhat anonymous you should choose something like MyFirstBlog or BloggingFool. If you are creating one for class or you are aware that people will be seeing your Blog you could name it like mine with your last name or just your first name but beware that many people will be looking at your site with your name.
